The Village Church of Christ has participated in a wide variety of domestic mission efforts in past years. These efforts saw the Church starting a new congregation in , Lousiana. Most recently, the congregation was involved with the efforts to aid in the development of a congregation in Spearfish, South Dakota. The congregation has long been a supporter of the Truth for Today ministry for the development and distribution of Bible course materials throughout the U.S. and foreign countries. For the past several years, our congregation has also been a sponsoring congregation for the Truth for Today “Lights” program aimed at distributing Bibles throughout the U.S. and South America. Another domestic effort that has been a part of our domestic mission efforts is the Vocational Church Plant efforts operating under the direction of Marvin Crowson at Harding College. Several years ago, the Elders set as a goal for the Missions Ministry to establish a new Spanish Congregation in the U.S. The congregation determined that the State of Florida would be an excellent location for the Spanish church plant. In November of 2005, Carlos and Maribel Preciado arrived in Ft. Lauderdale to begin their mission efforts

The Preciado family located with the Griffin Road Church of Christ in West Fort Lauderdale. The initial plan was for Carlos to develop a sufficient number of converts to create a new independent congregation of Spanish speaking Christians in the South Broward County region. Presently, Carlos has moved his efforts to the Pompano Beach area and a newly formed church is being developed at this time. Please view the file of past newsletter published by Carlos describing his efforts amoung the Spanish and Portuguese speaking populations in the Fort Lauderdale region of Florida.
